Fur and Feathers!

Early Years had a visit from the wonderful Vauxhall City Farm on Wednesday. We learned all about rabbits, ferrets and ducks and were able to stroke the animals as they hopped and waddled around the classroom.

Did you know that ferrets love to eat rabbits and can kill and eat an animal 5 times its own size? We didn't and were surprised to hear about the strength of these little creatures.

'I liked the rabbit best because he was so soft. His name was Tim.'
Reception child, Firefly class

'My favourite was the ferret because ferrets can eat rabbits and go down holes!'

Reception child, Butterfly class

Rosie, the handler was careful to keep Tim the rabbit away from Flipper the ferret!
